Lexus has several new announcements for the 2023 model year, including its first all-electric 2023 Lexus RX and a new line of midsize SUVs called the Lexus TX. The upcoming Lexus TX will be technologically advanced and more spacious and luxurious than existing Lexus three-row SUVs, most notably the Lexus RX. In this blog from Lexus of Tucson Speedway, in Tucson, AZ, we’ll tell you everything we know about the all-new Lexus TX, including where it fits, what it will offer, how much it will cost, and when it will be available in dealer showrooms. So read on.

The All-New Lexus TX Lineup

The all-new Lexus TX is part of Lexus’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and will serve as an addition to Lexus’ hybrid SUV lineup.

The TX is expected to be available in a standard hybrid and a plug-in hybrid model, along with a model featuring a combustion engine. It will join the current Lexus SUV and crossover lineup, which includes the midsize RX, subcompact UX, large LX, midsize GX, and compact NX.

The Lexus TX is said to replace the RX line. Although not wholly different from the RX, the three TX models will be larger, roomier, and more comfortable. These models will also have more bells and whistles to make the ride more luxurious and entertaining.

Created with the active millennial family in mind, the TX midsize SUVs will have a third row designed to seat more adults comfily. It will offer a much roomier third row with more legroom than the RX. All three Lexus TX models are expected to offer seating for up to eight adults due to a second-row bench seat. However, the captain’s chairs in the second row reduce the capacity to seven.

What Will Power the Lexus TX?

Although Lexus is tight-lipped about the upcoming TX, we know that the three new TX powertrain models will include:

  • A TX 350 combustion engine model.
  • A TX 500 standard hybrid engine.
  • A TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid engine model

The plug-in hybrid model is expected to offer enough electric drive range to be enough to cover the average daily commute of most American families.

When will the Lexus TX arrive, and How Much Will It Cost?

You can expect the Lexus TX to arrive at Lexus dealerships in mid-2023 as a 2024 model, and the base price of the most affordable TX model is expected to be around the $55,000 mark at the time of writing. However, it may change depending on the situation in the future.
