If your vehicle is hard to start and/or has dim headlights when the engine is turned off, your battery is getting weak and should be replaced with a new Genuine Lexus battery. Manufactured by Lexus’ standards for quality and performance, these batteries are the only batteries authorized for original equipment (OE) warranty replacement. They come with a 24-month free replacement warranty and prorated for the balance of the 84-month warranty period.

  • Is your battery more than three years old?
  • Has your battery outlived its warranty period?
  • Have any warning lights come on?
  • Has your vehicle been jump-started lately?
  • Have you had to use a portable charger to recharge your battery lately?
  • Do the lights dim when the A/C or heat is on?
  • Has your vehicle had alternator or belt problems recently?
  • Is there visible corrosion on the battery posts or cables?

Service Part Battery Warranty Coverage

Applicability 

Lexus Genuine replacement battery installed by a Lexus dealer in a Lexus vehicle or purchased over the counter.  For claim submission instructions, please refer to Policy 4.11 in the Lexus Warranty Policy & Procedures Manual.

Length of Coverage

Lexus-Brand Batteries -
Lexus-brand batteries are warranted as a free exchange from the date of purchase or installation for 24 months, regardless of mileage, or the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever provides greater coverage, and on a prorated basis thereafter.  Proration does not include labor or towing.  Lexus reserves the right to request original customer purchase documentation from the dealership.

12V Original Equipment Batteries for Hybrid Vehicles and LFA -
Lexus Service Part Warranty coverage for 12v OE batteries, used as replacement on certain hybrid vehicles and LFA only (refer to the Lexus Complete Maintenance Care website or the Electronic Parts Catalog to determine the applicable 12V replacement battery), is in effect for 12months, regardless of mileage, from the date the battery was installed on the vehicle, or the remainder of any applicable New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever provides greater coverage.  Proration is not applicable.

Hybrid Lexus-Brand Battery Service Part Warranty -
Lexus Service Part Warranty coverage for a Lexus-brand battery, used as replacement on certain hybrid and LFA only (refer to the Lexus Complete Maintenance Care website or the Electronic Parts Catalog to determine the applicable 12V replacement battery), Lexus-brand batteries are warranted as a free exchange from the date of purchase or installation for 24 months, regardless of mileage, or the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever provides greater coverage, and on a prorated basis thereafter.
